The Accommodation

At McLeod Estate we have 4 double rooms available over a varied range of inviting bespoke options that you will love! 2 sumptuous 1 bedroom cottages, 1 beautifully appointed large Lotus belle tent with log burner and a crisp modern barn studio bedroom. Theres something to excite everyones tastes. You can rent the rooms/units individually or book the entire estate for a larger group for a weekend or longer holiday. The Old Wine Cellar can be used as a communal dining and lounge area for your group to enjoy meals and relax together.

The Location

This picturesque block is perched on an elevated rise above the Hurunui River in the Amuri Basin, nestled against the hillside. The unique position offers stunning and intimate views of the Southern Alps and the setting sun literally under the leading edge of the Nor'west arch. Sheltered from the easterly winds, the warm evenings seem to last forever in this beautiful location. Just an hour from Christchurch and under 30 minutes from Hanmer Springs, this is the perfect spot to enjoy the natural beauty of north Canterbury.

The Old Wine Cellar venue

Originally built to cellar the wines of the old vineyard onsite this subterranean cave is available for hire as a very cool venue. An ideal banquet hall for weddings or other celebrations the cave offers an intimate surrounding an epic evening.
